Girly Shoes For Summer!

I love doing the "girl" thing for Reese! Pink is so fun. To me, more is......well, more. Too much of a good thing is FABOULOUS! So here's an easy idea to make those typical summer shoes that everyone has something special. The first pic shows a $3.50 pair from Walmart blinged up. You can purchase double sided, extra sticky tape from the craft store, and micro beads or glitter. Place the tape on the shoes and then press in the glitter. Then you can add crystals using E600 glue.
The bottom pair is a take off on the buttons added to crocs. I just found cute buttons and added ribbon. Then apply with the E600 glue. We think they're darling and Reese LOVES watching her feet as she walks around!
I think it's a girl thing.....

Parrish Christmas Wrap Up!

So I know it's kind of late to post this, but I have to put up the pictures for posterity! Just a rememberance of a crazy Christmas. The one with my "ah ha" moment on Christmas Eve. Which is, by the way, part of the reason my blogging of late has been delayed. I am spending more time with my children and much less time worrying about all the "projects" and "things" I love to create. It's only for a season and the benefits are already showing for me.

Getting ready to feed the reindeer! Cole was a bit scared of them. I think he thought they would come immediately.

The "Official" First Birthday Party Pics!

We finally had a real birthday party for Bodee and Reese. I wanted it at my house, (easier than transporting all the twin gear) but we ended up at Melanies house. I was a little sad at first, but by the time I got there, I was thrilled! Melanie went all out with the decorations. She did everything I wanted for their party but was just to tired and burned out to do! I wanted balloons, but couldn't get to the store. Melanie had tons of balloons. I wanted posters or at least some happy birthday decorations, but didn't have time or energy. Melanie did both. The MOST darling, personalized photo posters for both twins. I wanted a tiara or at the very least, a party hat, but once again, no time. Melanie had both. I am so grateful for her time and love to me and my family. Especially this year, it was very special for me to have so much enthusiam and excitement shown for the twins. Thanks Mel! Love you tons!

When we opened presents, it was fun. But once the twins saw the rice puff treats from Phil and Steph, that was all they had eyes for! However, Jeff and I can't wait to sport the twins in their darling new UTAH garb from Mel and Lane.

The real fun came when it was time for Cake! Reese made it very clear that she was NOT interested in getting dirty! She threw her cake aside immediately and was fine with that. Bodee, however, perfect child that he is; was the poster child for eating his first birthday cake and loving every minute of it. When Reese saw all the laughing at his enjoyment, she thought it was pretty funny too and started laughing each time he took a handful. It was so funny to see her laugh at his mess. But she was NOT getting her hands dirty with it.

I'd like to take this moment to predict this first birthday cake episode as a metiphor for all that is to come with these two. Reese will always be the one with ideas of mischief they can get into, but she will NEVER be the one caught with her hand in the cookie jar. No. That will be Bodee who she's convinced to do the dirty work. He will always be the one getting in trouble for her naughtiness and curiosity! Good thing I've already got her number!
